Good News – I didn’t win but …

I submitted my poem Long Way from Home to Into the Void poetry contest being judged by Heath Brougher. While my poem did not reach the final six, it was one of the 50 runners-up. Because of the high standard of the poems, he has decided to pay for a print anthology of the top 50 runner-up poems, and my poem will be included.

100% of the proceeds of the sales of the anthology will be donated to Pieta House here in Ireland. This is a worthwhile charity. Pieta House is a voluntary charity that provides free emergency therapy and aid to people who are suicidal, self-harming, or in any other kind of mental health crisis. It is a phenomenal organisation that does the most incredible work, and they always need financial help. You can find out more about Pieta house at their website: http://www.pieta.ie/

I am unsure when it will be launched but pre-orders are being taken now, so it might not be too long.

It is exciting.
